Our research foundation was founded in 2000 by Mr. Rajan Balakrishnan, MD Sankunnis Ayurvedic Research Foundation Pvt. Ltd., with a clear vision to bring Ayurveda to society in a contemporary form and unravel the mystery behind the age-old system of medicine. This included referring to ancient ayurvedic texts, selecting indigenous herbs and subjecting the formulation to modern pharmacological, toxicological and safety tests to create new drugs and therapies. At Sankunnis Ayurvedic Research Foundation Pvt.Ltd. utmost care is taken to ensure that the essence of the age-old formulation is preserved without any compromise to the quality of the product. Sankunnis Ayurvedic Research Foundation’s products are exported and sold in various countries around the world. Our products are manufactured in facilities of the highest standards. Our existing production facility is in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) USA. We have developed pain relief balms and medicines that are FDA approved and are being sold in the USA. Our medicines, topical lotions, creams, and pain balms are being exported to countries like Malaysia, Germany, France.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Research and Development Unit
Our R&D Unit is constantly engaged in conducting extensive research on developing and scientific validation of Ayurvedic products of the highest quality using Ayurvedic formulations referenced in ancient Ayurvedic texts.
We have developed various Ayurvedic Products, Herbal personal care products, Herbal foods & beverages / Nutraceuticals, Herbal Extracts, Essential oils and Crude herbs for consumption by both domestic and international markets.
Manufacturing Unit
Our manufacturing has superior infrastructural facilities for manufacturing quality Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals, herbal personal care products, herbal foods & beverages/ nutraceuticals, and Crude herbs.
It houses sophisticated pharmaceutical machineries to manufacture a wide variety of products covering a wide range like Powders, Granules, Oral liquids, Capsules, Tablets, Avalehas (semi solid traditional preparation), Medicated Oils, Creams, Ointments, Shampoos and Crude Extracts.
Quality System Unit
Our QC Unit conducts stringent quality checks for ayurvedic medicines and drugs. The process spans the inspection of all the raw materials, monitoring the process,and implementing strict quality checks to effectively control the quality of the finished product.
We maintain the controlled samples of finished products of each batch for 3 years. We have a provision to monitor all raw materials for fungal and bacterial contamination.
