WHO WE ARE

Sankunnis Ayurvedic clinic established in 1910 is one of the oldest Ayurvedic clinics in Chennai. It was founded by Dr. U.P Sankunni Menon, who was a Sanskrit Scholar and underwent extensive training in Sanskrit and Ayurvedic Sastras. He carried out far reaching researches in the field of Ayurvedic Science and formulated various Ayurvedic medicines which are used even today to successfully treat various acute and chronic health problems with no side effects. He practiced until his death in 1962. His line of practice and the sastras he followed was then passed on to his disciple and son-in-law, Dr. P Balakrishnan, G.C.I.M, who then successfully continued the practice forward.
